I met Julie many years ago, I was a young woman who wanted to find purpose in this world and do good things for the Portland and Oregon community. And you know Julie, she had no reason to spend time with me or mentor me - I was just this random person who shared her passions and interests - but she did. For years. Every time I saw her she lifted my spirits, inspired me and reminded me to not give too many fucks about the wrong stuff. She was such a straight shooter, but her words always landed with love and care. She really changed lives and the landscape of purposeful business and creativity. I am absolutely devastated to hear that she’s left this earth, because she was the grounding presence we need more than ever now. I think if I said that to her right now she would laugh and tell me to stop being silly, that we all have what we need right now, and to get on with it.
Thank you Julie, for all that you did and gave to so many. And Peter, my thoughts are with you and your family, I’m so sorry for your loss. Her legacy is strong with you!
