Bob Speltz

My first memory is Julie welcoming me to town back in 1999. Seriously. She did. No one does that anymore. She was a connector, wickedly funny and often made me blush with her colorful language. She was humble, brilliant, asked me great, hard to answer questions. She pushed. She challenged. She was impatient and loving--often in the same breath. But she also listened. Carefully. She encouraged me to get involved with or support organizations I learned later she helped grow and create. Today, I see her presence every where and especially inside the organizations like Literary Arts that she poured herself into.
