Suze Riley

Julie, oh Julie. She swore, but not quite as much as me. Well matched on that front, we instantly were friends, starting in the Boora offices that PICA shared with Literary Arts. She watched as Kristy and I dreamed hard, grew the crew and listened to every bit of advice she had. And then over the years we kept in touch, we roared with laughter over lunches that were never often enough, and she wrote unlikely checks in support of whatever board I was on. She was the master of inquisition and I often poured out more than I ever planned, but came away better for it full of renewed vigor. She was rare. Very rare.
